Nine new positive test results for COVID-19 were identified in New Hampshire, bringing the total number of infected individuals to 26, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
The nine new cases are all in adults, including five males and four females, state officials said. The people are from Rockingham, Hillsborough, and Grafton counties.
Some of the new cases were in individuals with no identified risk factors, meaning the state is now experiencing community-based transmission of COVID-19, state officials said.
None of the patients have required hospitalization, state officials said.
Rockingham and Grafton counties have been hardest hit with 14 and seven cases, respectively.
Merrimack County has not experienced any infections, but that doesn’t mean the virus isn’t here. Statewide, 208 tests for the virus are still pending and another 475 people are being monitored for the disease.
