Spring fundraiser held online

This past month has highlighted the importance of public trails, fresh air, local food, and an undeveloped view. As we adapt to physical distancing, it is comforting to know that we live in communities that have public lands and wild views to turn to when we need to get out. Bear-Paw Regional Greenways has been working for 25 years to protect a network of land for people and wildlife.ย Join Bear-Paw for a Facebook Live on May 2 at 9 a.m. to celebrate open space and to help us ensure that our children and grandchildren have the same access to nature no matter what the world throws their way.ย This half-hour event will feature inspiring speakers, greenway updates, great maps, words of wisdom from our founders, and an opportunity to give. You can tune in to the video even if you do not have a Facebook account.ย ย Bear-Paw Regional Greenways is a land conservation nonprofit that works across eleven towns in south central New Hampshire to protect wildlife habitats, farmlands, working forests, and clean water. It was founded twenty-five years ago by resident volunteers who love the region they live in and it takes its name from Bear Brook State Park and Pawtuckaway State Park. ManchesterCatholic diocese seeks nominations

ย The Diocese of Manchester is currently seeking nominations for the Vita et Caritas Award (For Life and Love Award), given to a volunteer of a non-profit organization who makes significant contributions that help transform the lives of women, children and families. The non-profit organization will also receive a $2,500 grant. This annual award is given in honor of the memory of Ruthie Ford, whose life reflected Catholic ideals and tireless dedication to service in the cause of helping women, children and families. An application form and information is available on the Diocesan website at catholicnh.org/vca. Applications are due by May 29.
