The Pittsfield Historical Society must postpone its program on the Josiah Carpenter Library scheduled that was originally scheduled for Wednesday.
Josiah Carpenter Library has resumed delivery of library materials to people outside. Call or email to request items you would like to borrow. ย Starting Monday the building will reopen by appointment and drop in visits of no more than four people. ย For more information call 435-8406 or email lvogt@pittsfieldnh.gov.
An Outdoor Word Scramble is being held around town! The Post volunteers have put up 20 letters in downtown. The letters can be arranged into a phrase. ย If you want to play, walk or ride around town and write down the letters (which will be visible from the street). ย Send your answer to the Post, pittsfieldnews@pnhcc.org, by Friday. All of the correct answers will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates to local businesses.
The Pittsfield Historical Society continues to raise funds for the new museum and headquarters. ย A โBuy-A-Brickโ project affords an opportunity for people to honor yourself or loved ones. The bricks will be sold for $100 each and may be engraved with three lines of 18 characters each for a 4โx8โ brick. The Hanging Flower Basket project is in the works. The small group of volunteers are set to plant and hang these lovely baskets in early June. If you would like to help out this effort, we would appreciate a donation; checks can be mailed to Pittsfield Hanging Basket Fund, c/o Donna Keeley, 256 True Road, Pittsfield.
