HAMPTON — Guidelines for reopening Hampton Beach were approved by the Governor’s Economic Reopening Task Force on Thursday, and it now awaits vetting by public health officials.

The recommendations include shutting down a section of Ocean Boulevard to vehicular traffic and limiting beach use to transitory activities like walking, jogging and swimming. It was approved unanimously by the task force and will now be sent to the state’s Division of Public Health Services for further review and then to Gov. Chris Sununu for approval.
