■The Bow Garden Club’s annual Memorial Day Weekend Plant Sale will not be held on Saturday as planned due to concerns about public safety.
■Persons wishing to donate to the Bow Garden Club’s Scholarship Fund in memory of honorary member Alice Jorda can send memorial donations payable to Bow Garden Club and addressed to BGC Treasurer Sharon Pearce, 17 Woodhill Road, Bow, NH 03304.
■The Bow Rotary Annual Car Show, previously scheduled for May 16, has been postponed until Aug. 22. Anyone who already registered may choose a refund if they are unable to attend on Aug. 22. Updated registration forms and additional information are now available at bowrotary.org.
■The Bow Rotary Summer Concert Series has also been postponed. The Rotary Club hopes to be able to reschedule it for later this summer, providing it becomes safe to do so.

■A Memorial Day Celebration will be on the Town Common on May 25 at 10:50 a.m. The service will commence at 11 a.m. There will be a special tribute in memory of Col. Due to COVID-19 the usual afternoon ceremony at the Community Center with the Hopkinton Band is canceled.

■The Transfer Station Recycling Center is open with restrictions. They will be accepting cardboard, aluminum cans, glass bottles and jars, and tin and steel cans. Other items are expected to be added in the future. Residents will have to sort and dump their own material. It will be well marked. Please try to sort before you go. Only one car/person can dump at a time. Social distancing will be in effect until further notice. Thank you for your cooperation.
■In May, the DCC Book Club will read The First Phone Call You Get from Heaven by Mitch Albom. The discussion, hosted by Stephanie Herlihy, will be June 4 at 7 p.m., either on Zoom or at the Vestry.
■Library Adult Programs: For a limited time, AncestryLibrary Edition is available from home. Log in to your account with your card number and PIN. Email the library to see if it is still available. Online Guided Meditation, with host Judy Caron of Living Mindfully NH, is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. Email the library at dunlib@gsinet to register. The Book Discussion group is scheduled to read Whatcha Reading? An online book chat is scheduled for Wednesday at noon.

■Congratulations on the appointment of Natasha Kolehmainen as assistant superintendent and Christopher Roy as business administrator for SAU 24 beginning July 1.
■Henniker Town Meeting is rescheduled to June 6. Updates will be posted next week if changes are made.
■The Henniker Selectmen have adopted the Henniker Helps Program for taxpayer relief and held a positive hearing on the issue of outdoor dining at area restaurants.
■The Weare School Board is still discussing the public actions of one of its members in Concord earlier this spring. Over 4,000 people have signed an online petition seeking the member to resign.
■Congratulations to Henniker resident and long-time John Stark employee, Nonie Mazerski, who was recognized for sewing almost 400 masks (and counting) by the VA Medical Center.
