Thrift store relocating down the road

■If your child will be 5 or 6 years old by Sept. 30, please notify Paul Smith School of your intent to enroll them for the 2020-21 school year. Call 934-4144 and leave a message if no one is available to take your call at that time.

■Already registered to vote and need to change your party affiliation? Party affiliation changes must be done through the City Clerk’s Office by June 2 for the September primary. Changes can be made through the mail or by making an appointment with the City Clerk’s Office. Please call 934-3109 to have the form to be sent to you or to make an appointment.

■The Thrift Clothes Closet is on the move from its current location at 332 Central St. to 357 Central St., the former Perm City/Colby Sawyer space next to Toad Hall. It is a slow process for the many volunteers with all of the distancing guidelines. This new space is beautiful and was once a clothing store: Decato’s. The plan is to hopefully open under new guidelines by June 1. Support this wonderful asset for our community and donate your closet treasures.

■A few restaurants are opening up for take-out only. Visit their websites and Facebook pages for details.

■Bread and Roses is unable to provide communal meals due to social distancing. However, on Mondays and Thursdays the kitchen will be handing out bags of donated items between 4-5 p.m. Use the door at the ramp, and only one person may enter at a time.

■If you feel the need to talk to someone during these stressful times, here is a link to a new confidential service called Family Support Warm Line: waypointnh.org/programs/the-family-support-warm-line. Share with as many people as you can. Stay safe and keep healthy.

■From City Hall: Please utilize the online system or the main entrance drop box for paying city property taxes, water bills, renewing car registrations (now through May) and dog licensing renewals. Contact the City Clerk’s Office at 934-3109 with questions. For vital records (birth, marriage, or death certificates), order online at sos.nh.gov/vital_records.aspx, vitalcheck.com or by calling 1-877-878-8007. For further details on City Clerk services visit franklinnh.org/city-clerk-tax-collector. All departments are available by phone.

■The Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry regular hours are 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. The pantry is located at 2 Central Street, across from Benson Auto. Pre-packed boxes will be handed at the door. If possible, please donate hand sanitizer and disposable gloves to the Food Pantry. The pantry does not need plastic supermarket bags at this time. If you are able, please consider making a donation to Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry, 2 Central Street, Franklin, NH 03235.
