■The Allenstown Historical Society is accepting donations of sellable items for a yard sale. Please call 485-4437 for more information.

■The Knights of Columbus is offering a pick-up and take-out meal on Wednesday evening at the St. John the Baptist Parish Hall from 4:30-6 p.m. or until they run out of food. Free will offerings are accepted and appreciated.

■The Allenstown Town Clerk is continually monitoring email and replying to emails and voicemails. Transactions such as motor vehicle renewals, dog licensing, vital record requests, tax payments, transfer station payments, etc., can all be done online. If anyone has any questions or concerns email the town clerk at kpelissier@allenstownnh.gov.

■Allenstown residents without a library card who would like access to ebooks and e-audiobooks can sign up for a library card online. Message the library on Facebook or email the staff at allenstownlib@comcast.net.

■St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Day Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9 a.m. in the cemetery. If there is inclement weather, then the Mass will be canceled. Flowers placed on grave sites must be removed by June 4.

■With heavy hearts, the Pembroke and Allenstown Old Home Day Committee members have decided to cancel the 2020 Old Home Day celebration. While the Old Home Day committee is disappointed to make this decision there is hope for a bigger and better event on Aug. 28, 2021.

CHICHESTER Outdoor ceremony

■ The Chichester Grange will hold an outdoor ceremony to commemorate Memorial Day on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. It will take place at the Veterans Memorial on the side of the Grange Hall. Members of the Chichester Grange will present the wreath and lead the singing of patriotic songs. The indoor portion of the ceremony has been canceled. If anyone present would like to speak, they may do so. Social distancing is expected.

■Chichester Town Offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. The Cemetery Committee and friends have placed flags on the graves of all veterans in Chichester Cemeteries.

■The Chichester Town Library is now offering curb-side pickup. Call or e-mail the library to arrange a meeting time to receive your materials (books, DVDs, magazines) and a staff member will bring it to a table in the parking lot for you to pick up. There will be an opportunity to donate books on Saturday in the back of the library from 9 to 11 a.m. The bookstore remains closed.

■The Out of Your Attic Thrift Shop, 345 Suncook Valley Highway, has re-opened on a reduced basis. The shop is open Sunday, Monday and Tuesday mornings, Tuesdays from noon to 4 p.m., Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Masks are required to be worn at this time.

■The B.C.E.P. Solid Waste District is accepting tin cans, aluminum cans and cardboard for recycling. Household trash is also accepted, but limited to four bags per week.

EPSOM Pantry available

■May we thank all the servicemen and women in the present and past for their selfless contribution toward our country and countrymen. Happy Memorial Day.

■Epsom Bible Church has been designated by the National Guard as a temporary Food Pantry. Shelves of items are available outside the church for anyone to stop by and take what they need. Pantry is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. Donations are also accepted. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact 491-6059 or the church at 736-9354.

■The Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry through the First Congregational Church will be reopening on June 2 with new guidelines in place for the time being. The pantry will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. Please call 435-7471 when you arrive in the parking lot. Clients will not be able to enter the church at this time. Weather permitting, staff will place your diapers and wipes in a bag with your name attached and place it on a table in the parking lot. If weather does not permit this, your products will be brought to you.

■The Epsom Food Pantry is open on Wednesdays from noon to 2 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The process is completely anonymous and no sign up is needed. Call 736-4024.

■The Supervisors of the Checklist for the Town of Epsom will be holding a session on June 2 from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at the Town Office Meeting Room, 940 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom. Use of personal protective equipment is suggested. Prior to this date you may go online to the Town of Epsom Website, click on Emergency Order #43 and you can review and print the change of party form, execute before a witness, and either mail or leave at the Town Office. Submit the application to your clerk by 5 p.m. on June 2. As always, you can call the town office at 736-4825 with any questions.

■Webster Park remains open to the public however the town is currently not taking reservations for any functions at the park. The park facilities and playground equipment have not been cleaned or sterilized. Large gatherings are prohibited in the park as long as the COVID-19 executive orders are in effect.

■Patrons of the Epsom Public Library may access and download audiobooks, eBooks and magazines via nh.overdrive.com or by using the Libby app. If you have questions or do not know your library card number, please email the library or leave a voicemail and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. ■Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session on June 2 at Town Hall from 7 to 7:30 p.m. to make corrections and register new voters. This is the last day for voters already registered to change party affiliation before the state primary election day on Sept. 8.
