Dear Gov. Sununu: I voted for your dad, your brother and I will vote for you again in 2020. The alternative is unthinkable as one of the Democratic candidates is a bleeding heart in love with all things entitlement and the other a smug and arrogant trial lawyer with an ax to grind.

I am at odds with you on a few issues, but if you filled every voter pocket with gold, the RINOs, progressives, real Democrats, etc. are never going to support you in the next election; your pandering is obvious but unnecessary.

My ancestors arrived in Durham in 1678, and I grew up in a New Hampshire that I no longer recognize. After extensive travel all over the country, I still consider New Hampshire a great place to live.

The demographic of the state changed with folks emigrating from Massachusetts, New Jersey, California, New York, etc., fleeing the high taxes, crowded highways and housing, and looking for a simpler, better quality of life. Unfortunately, many (not all) brought their politics with them; they donโ€™t understand the New Hampshire Advantage.

Upon arrival, many ask where the streetlights, sidewalks and public pools are, and, of late, the train.

History repeats itself and these same people, in their self-appointed, intellectual superiority, push for the same policies that saddled their home states with burdensome debt, unfunded pensions and sky-high taxes.

I look forward to two more years of your leadership, but donโ€™t be under the illusion that the elitists will support you no matter how well you govern.
