■Please respect the businesses that ask that you wear face masks to enter their private business. As private business owners, they have the right to set standards, whether during a pandemic or at any time. If you don’t agree with their standard, please don’t challenge. Go somewhere else.
■The Farmers Market will still happen this year! Our amazing vendors will be back in just a few weeks! We ask that our citizens follow our guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy market. We can’t wait to see you on June 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Marceau Park on Central Street.
■We are sad that Chubble’s Restaurant did not survive COVID. Great thanks to Cathy Hubble for offering delicious take-out meals during the pandemic and for her generosity over the past few years. We wish her the best in her future.
■While cleaning out closets, attics, etc. during this stay-at-home period, please do not toss anything that might be of historical interest to the Franklin Historical Society: photos; commemorative banners, posters, programs, period clothing; letters as examples. Contact Leigh Webb at 934-8222 and he can guide you on what may be of value.
■Bread and Roses is unable to provide communal meals due to social distancing. However, on Monday and Thursday they will be handing out bags of donated items between 4 to 5 p.m. Use the door at the ramp, and only one person may enter at a time.
■If you feel the need to talk to someone during these stressful times, here is a link to a new confidential service called Family Support Warm Line. Share with as many people as you can; waypointnh.org/programs/the-family-support-warm-line. Stay safe and keep healthy.
■From City Hall: Please utilize the on-line bill pay system or the main entrance drop box for paying city property taxes, water bills, renewing car registrations. Call City Clerk’s office at 934-3109 for inquiries/updates and dog licensing renewals.
