■When you drive down Main Street, notice the flowers that have been planted in the tubs at the beginning and end of the street, the library, the stone tubs at the library and Town Hall, the flowers along the stone walls around the gazebo and the newly planted grassy area in front of the gazebo. This was all done by the Heritage Commission and some wonderful helpers. Volunteers are needed to water all these lovely plants and flowers. Call Lucille Noel 798-5709. Thanks to the fire department for contributing loam and compost.

■The Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry through the First Congregational Church will be open on Tuesday with new guidelines in place for the time being. The pantry will be open from 9-11 a.m. Please call 435-7471 when you arrive in the parking lot.

■The Josiah Carpenter Library Summer Reading Program will be starting on June 22.  Visit the library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday or Thursday to learn more and pick up packets.

■The Pittsfield Food Pantry is open on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Mondays from 4-6 p.m. at 55 Barnstead Road.

■The Beautification Committee will be planting the Island Gardens in the next week.
