■The Free Summer Concert Series is back, every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Marceau Park. Lil’ Penny Band will kick off the season with a wide range of musical styles. Refreshments will be available for sale from Buffy the Hot Dog Slinger and Vulgar Brewing. Bring a blanket or chairs (social distancing protocols will be in place). The Farmers Market will be winding down as the music comes up.
■The Franklin Farmers Market will be held at Marceau Park every Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. through Sept. 29. Free children’s activities and recipe samples will be available. SNAP, debit and credit cards are accepted. Interested vendors can fill out an application form available on the city Parks & Recreation website or call 934-2118 with questions. Linger a while and enjoy the free concert in the park.
■There are still openings for day care at the Bessie Rowell Community Center for families who cannot find alternative care and must return to work. Space is limited, so call Krystal at 934-2118 as soon as possible.
■The Thrift Clothes Closet has opened at its new address, 357 Central Street. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Saturday hours at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Masks and gloves are required and will be provided if you don’t bring your own. A limited number of customers and staff volunteers are allowed in the building at one time per state guidelines. Please follow the store on Facebook for photo updates.
■Absentee ballots for the Sept. 8 primary and on Nov. 3 election are available for downloading at sos.nh.gov. If you are unable to access online, call the City Clerk’s office at 934-3109. You must request one for Sept. 8 and a separate for Nov. 3. If your reason for requesting the form is due to COVID-19 concerns, under Section II choose “I am unable to vote in person due to a disability.” Your signature must be witnessed only if you have had someone help fill out the form. Mail the form to City Clerk, 316 Central Street, Franklin, NH 03235. Call the City Clerk at 934-3109 with any questions.

■The Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry regular hours are 9-11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5-7 p.m. on Wednesdays. The pantry is located at 2 Central Street, across from Benson Auto. Pre-packed boxes will be handed at the door. If possible, please donate hand sanitizer and disposable gloves to the Food Pantry. The pantry does not need plastic store bags at this time.
