■On Tuesday, the Chichester Historical Society will meet from 9 a.m. to noon at the museum. The Historical Society recently lost its president, Bernd Reinhardt, after a long, courageous battle with an illness. He will be missed not only by the Historical Society, but by the town as well. He was always willing to help out with projects at the library, gazebo and Thunder Bridge to name just a few.
■The Board of Selectmen will have a live meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Grange Hall. Call ahead for information on citizen attendance.
■On Wednesday, the Parks & Recreation Department will meet at the park at 6:30 p.m. Check the Parks & Rec webpage for a description of the Shaw property and map. There are some wonderful trails with information in the park itself and Shaw property.
■Chichester Central School is publishing a newsletter every week that is available online or in hardcopy at the library and Town Hall. The newsletter includes everything you need to know for what is expected for your students’ summer reading, great coverage of school events and registration information for kindergarten.

■The Pittsfield Historical Society continues to raise funds for the new museum and headquarters. A commemorative garden on the museum grounds is being worked on. A “buy-a-brick” project affords an opportunity for you to buy a brick to honor loved ones past or present or whomever you wish to remember. ■The Josiah Carpenter Library Summer Reading program has begun. The theme for this summer’s reading program is “Imagine your Story”. Visit the library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday or Thursday to learn more and to pick up packets. A new story will be posted on Facebook every Monday with fun activities, crafts and prizes. The summer program is for preschoolers through sixth graders. A younger aged craft and an older STEM craft is also available for pick up at the library.
■The Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry through the First Congregational Church will be open on Tuesday with new guidelines in place for the time being. The pantry will be open from 9-11 a.m. Please call 435-7471 when you arrive in the parking lot. Weather permitting, staff will place your diapers and wipes in a bag with your name attached and place it on a table in the parking lot. If weather does not permit this, your products will be brought to you. Please use the parking lot off Chestnut Street. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to navigate through this pandemic.
■The Pittsfield Town Hall is now open to the public. The following standard operating procedures will be in effect until further notice. Only one person per service window will be permitted in the lobby area at a time, customers are asked to wear a mask, markers will be spaced 6 feet apart on the landing and outside the Town Hall door, hand sanitizer will be provided in the lobby and restrooms will be closed to the public. Modified hours on Monday are 2 to 6:30 p.m. Hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are 8 a.m. to noon. Thursday hours at 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to utilize online services, mail, or the drop box to conduct business. ■The Pittsfield Youth Workshop Pantry hours have changed. The pantry will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-5 p.m. for PYW youth and their families. If you have any special requests contact Zach or Paula at 435-8272 or info@pittsfieldyouthworkshop.org.
■PYW summer registration is open for grades 6-12. At this time, the plan is to start with outdoor activities only, two days a week from 1-5 p.m., starting on Tuesday, and virtual programs will continue on Wednesdays. PYW staff will confirm your registration with a follow up phone call several days before the program. Activities have limited space available and a waiting list will be kept in case of cancellations. A new schedule of activities will be sent via email every two weeks.
■The PHS All Class Reunion scheduled for July 11 has been cancelled. The plan is to hold the reunion next year on a date to be determined later.
