Remley Johnson and Robert Flock were marred July 4, 2020, by the Rev. Mark Dollard at the Equinox Pond in Manchester, Vermont.
The couple met at well-known piano bar Mr. Smith’s of Georgetown in July 2012. The two reunited and started dating in January 2013 when Johnson returned to Washington after graduating. Flock proposed on Christmas Eve at the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods.
Johnson’s family has summered in Cambridge, New York, throughout her life. The couple have made a tradition of spending the Fourth of July at Lake Lauderdale and hosted a reception there to celebrate Independence Day and their union.
The bride, 28, is the daughter of David Johnson and Kathleen Sternenberg of Hopkinton. She is chief of staff in Washington, D.C. for former secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld. She graduated from Texas Christian University and received a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
The groom, 32, is the son of Robert and Laureen Flock of Allendale, New Jersey. He is Director of advocacy in Washington, D.C., for Credit Union National Association. He graduated from Georgetown University and received a bachelor’s degree in government.
