■Bow Mills United Methodist Church is offering a BOLT Vacation Bible School from July 27-31 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The first three days of the program (July 27-29) will be family friendly videos and backyard activities with religious teachings. ■On Tuesday at 1 p.m. the library will sponsor Squam Lake Natural Science Center’s “Virtually Wild Animals.” Please email the library for details. A Zoom link will be sent from Squam Lakes. The library is also offering “Read to Dogs Virtually” for children in grades 1-4. Call or email the library for a 15-minute session. Program runs Thursday (3 to 4 p.m.) and July 16 (3 to 4 p.m.) On July 21, Rick Goldin will be in concert at the library. This is a great program for children of all ages with music, singing, dancing and all of Rick’s Greatest Hits. ■Henniker’s Swap Shop at the Transfer Facility was created to divert usable goods and materials from the waste stream. The Swap Shop needs contributions of usable goods and materials, as well as volunteers. Residents with Transfer Station permits may donate to the Swap Shop Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-5 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The swap shop will be open for “taking” only on Sunday.

■“Imagine Your Story” is Weare Public Library’s summer writing contest. Submissions must be 100-250 words for ages 5-9, 250-500 words for ages 10-13 and 1,000-2,000 words for age 14 through adult. ■The Clerk/Tax Collector’s Office is open for public walk-ins. Contact with all other departments is by appointment only until further notice. In order to minimize foot traffic in Town Hall, maximize social distancing and reduce the risk of exposure to both residents and employees, residents are strongly encouraged to continue to make use of the online tools and “How To” documents which can be accessed online at hopkinton-nh.gov. You must wear a mask to enter the Town Hall. Masks are available if you do not have one.
■To compensate for the cancellation of the Hopkinton Lions spring fundraiser and yard sale for the Hopkinton Food Pantry, the Lions Club is asking Hopkinton residents to donate to the Food Pantry jars at the Cracker Barrel and Colonial Village Supermarket. ■The town playground, tennis courts and skate park are open. Social distancing guidelines need to be followed. The playground will not be sanitized, so please take your own precautions when using it. ■The Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum has reopened. Days and hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. The Medicine Woods Trail and the Arboretum are open to visitors every day free of charge. Volunteers at the museum have been busy cleaning and preparing for the reopening and the safety of visitors. Adhering to the new state guidelines on social distancing, tours will now be self-guided, which will allow visitors to spend more time at galleries of particular interest. Face masks will be mandatory inside the museum, and disposable masks are available to those who need one. Hand sanitizer is also available at multiple locations. Visitors are asked to call ahead to reserve a tour time to help social distancing between groups and to purchase tickets online. ■The Warner Historical Society’s “Tory Hill Authors Series” is an annual summer event showcasing locally and nationally known authors reading and talking about their books and personal experiences.
