■The Boscawen Public Library is now open to patrons with new temporary hours and restrictions on the number of people in the space. Hours Monday-Thursday from 12- 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Patrons are required to wear masks while in the library. ■Due to COVID-19, all Boscawen Old Home Day activities for Aug. 22 have been canceled. However the Boscawen Old Home Day Golf “Classic” will be held on Aug. 20. The tournament will comply with all CDC guidelines and our Governors’ rules. The Golf Classic will be held at Den Brae Golf Resort in Sanbornton. The cost is $360 per foursome that includes coffee and muffins, golf, cart and prizes. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 9 a.m. Forms for team registrations and sponsorships are available to print out and complete at townofboscawen.org. ■Canterbury Shaker Village grounds are open, weekend outdoor tours have begun and the summer series of “Concerts on the Green” have begun on Sundays from 4-5 p.m. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Please bring a lawn chair. The concerts have been organized by Concord native and professional cellist Jan Fuller. Concerts will continue on Sundays through the end of July. ■The Canterbury Farmers Market will be open Wednesday from 4-6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Elkins Public Library. The market will be held every Wednesday (unless there are thunderstorms) until Sept. 30. Live music will be performed this week by The Liz and Dane Show, playing country and light rock music from the 1970s. To address COVID-19 safety issues, the market will have a curbside pickup. Customers will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer before entering the market, numbers of customers coming in at any one time will be monitored to avoid crowding, prepared food must be taken off site to eat, customers are asked to send minimal family members and children must be kept with parents/guardians at all times. ■The Annual Center Yard Sale will be July 25 from 9 a.m. to noon. Bring a table, cashbox and items to sell. A $5 donation is required towards Concord Monitor advertisement. ■Canterbury United Community Church Pastor Sara Rossig has been ringing church bells every evening at 7 p.m. in recognition of essential workers, healthcare workers and those dealing with pain due to COVID-19. This is followed by 2 minutes of silence for reflection. All are welcome either in cars or spaced on the green by the church.

■The library is still closed until further notice but the book return bin is taking returns on a schedule and there are curbside pickup and delivery options. Every other week the book drop will be open to drop off books and other borrowed materials. The library building will be remaining closed to the public at this time. Please do not use the curbside pickup bin to return materials when you are picking items up.
■Election officials, the Town Administrator and Chief MacDuffie would like to assure all citizens of Salisbury they are working to be sure voters will vote in a safe election this fall. Voting will be on Sept. 8 at the Safety Building, 273 Old Turnpike Road, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please note that polling was changed to this location due to better social distancing capabilities. Voting information will continue to be posted on the town’s website and official Facebook page. Residents are encouraged to vote by absentee ballot. New voters are encouraged to register with the Town Clerk before the Sept. election. You will be allowed to register on election day, but registering ahead of time and requesting an absentee ballot via email (tcclerksalisbury@gmail.com) is the safest and most efficient manner of registration. You can also email the Town Clerk or call 648-6322 to make an appointment to fill out the required absentee ballot documents.
■The Salisbury Farmers Market will be open every Monday (except holidays) until the end of August from 3-6 p.m. at the Town Hall, 645 Old Turnpike Road.
■July vehicle renewal registration information will be mailed to those who need to renew. Please follow the directions in the letter enclosed and the town clerk will mail your new stickers and registration to you. This only covers vehicles previously registered in Salisbury, not new vehicles or vehicles of new residents. Online vehicle registration for renewals and dog licensing is now live. See the town’s website under the department of the town clerk for that information. If you cannot access these services online contact the Town Clerk’s office by phone (648-6322), fax (648-6658) or email (tclerksalisbury@gmail.com) for questions about vehicle registration renewals or dog licenses. For new vehicles, marriage licenses and vital records, please email the Town Clerk and request an appointment.
■If you are looking to obtain a burn permit that is seasonal (Class 1 or Class 2) you may fill one out on the N.H. Division of Forest & Land’s website. Class 3 burn permits will need to be inspected by a fire warden, which are listed at salisburynh.org/forest-fire-wardens. Please make an appointment and remember to practice social distancing!

It is open on the first Wednesday of the month from 6-8 p.m. and is located in the parish house of the Webster Congregational Church at 1011 Long Street. Food items may be dropped off at the police department Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. through 2 p.m. Be sure to wear a mask when you enter the building.
