At the beginning of the month, President Trump’s United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) went into effect, a trade deal that finally put American workers first.

Every single year, New Hampshire’s agricultural industry supports more than 600 Granite State jobs, while exporting $76 million to our northern and southern trading partners. Thanks to President Trump’s USMCA we can rest assured knowing that these jobs are safe.

Our small and medium-sized businesses will directly benefit from the USMCA. There are more than 2,000 small and medium-sized businesses in New Hampshire that export goods to other countries, generating more than 35% of all Granite State exports.

Thanks to President Trump, these local businesses will now be getting a fair shake while competing with countries around the world.

For years, our state struggled under Joe Biden’s failed North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) policy, which punished New Hampshire to favor businesses in Mexico. During the Obama-Biden administration, their trade policies cost the Granite State 3,400 manufacturing jobs.

Biden himself admitted that he isn’t an “expert on international trade matters,” so it should come as no surprise that it wasn’t just the Granite State that lost jobs because of NAFTA. In just seven years after it was created, NAFTA killed more than 750,000 jobs across the country.

Joe Biden’s NAFTA policy crushed our country for years and thanks to President Trump, this disastrous deal is gone for good, and has been replaced with a program that finally protects American workers.
