I am the founder and executive director of the New Hampshire educational nonprofit, Story Preservation Initiative. Seven years ago Paul Hodes became aware of the work of SPI, found it intriguing, and contacted me to find out more about the organization. In short order, Paul joined the board of directors and now serves as board chair. Paul has been instrumental in helping SPI grow and have its impact felt by teachers and students throughout the state. He is a creative thinker and a doer.

I can say without hesitation that there is no one more committed to the people of the state of New Hampshire than Paul Hodes. This is evidenced by his commitment to education, his lifelong involvement with the arts, his leadership relative to the renovation and re-opening of the Capitol Center for the Arts, and his time as a two-term U.S. representative serving New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District. Paul listens. He addresses the needs of his community, is reasonable in his approach and thought process, is extremely well spoken, and, perhaps most important of all, has a genuinely warm and kind heart.
