An Allenstown man wanted by authorities in connection with violent theft and property crimes was arrested Sunday night.
Evan Ward, 25, was taken into custody at approximately 8 p.m. in the area of Manchester Street in Concord. Police said Ward had been attempting to evade arrest and had previously fled from officers on prior occasions.
Ward was arrested on a total of 12 warrants, including for crimes he is accused of committing in Manchester and Lancaster. Ward, a convicted felon, is accused of stealing a firearm in Lancaster, and of stealing a vehicle in Manchester and operating it with a suspended license.
Additionally, New Hampshire State Police have charges pending against Ward for felony-level receiving stolen property, as well as misdemeanor counts of disobeying an officer, operating with a suspended license and reckless conduct.
Ward refused bail Sunday and was transported to the Merrimack County jail in Boscawen.
