■A summer concert will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Allenstown Town Hall Lawn. The Green Heron, a local bluegrass duo, will perform. The Allenstown Fire Department will have hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and soft drinks. The concert is brought to you by the Allenstown Economic Development Committee.

■The DAR will hold its Vesper Service on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Old Allenstown Meeting House, 150 Deerfield Road.

■The Allenstown Historical Society will meet on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Suncook Business Park off Route 28 on Lavoie Drive.

CHICHESTER Check voter registration

■The Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Grange Hall, Town Office, 54 Main St., to register voters and make corrections, additions and deletions to the checklist. No party affiliation changes may be made until after the September primary election. Please email supervisors@chichesternh.org ahead of time to register. Applicants should bring photo ID, proof of Chichester residency, proof of U.S. citizenship and wear masks and gloves. Qualified applicants who do not bring proof with them may register if they sign an affidavit attesting to their qualifications. The Chichester Supervisors of the Checklist encourage residents who plan to register to do so over the summer rather than waiting in line on election day. To make an appointment with the Town Clerk, go to chichesternh.org. You can also request an absentee ballot through the town website or NH Secretary of State Facebook page (facebook.com/sos.nh.gov). The current checklist will be posted in the notice board cases outside the Town Office and the library. Log on to app.sos.nh.gov to check your registration and party.

■On Tuesday, the Historical Society will meet from 9 a.m. to noon at the museum on Main Street. You are invited to stop by the museum and see the beautiful colonial garden that is in full bloom, prepared by the Historical Society members. There is also an exhibit of farm machinery used in Chichester. If you visit between 9 a.m. and noon, you can request a guided tour and a free cup of coffee.

■On Tuesday, the Board of Selectmen will meet at 6:30 p.m. Check the town website for the agenda.

■On Wednesday, the School Board will meet from 6-7 p.m. at Chichester Central School.

■On Thursday, the Planning Board will meet from 6:30-10 p.m. at the Fire Station.

■The town has hired a new road agent! He starts this week!

■Old Home Days are scheduled to be held Aug. 14-15. Details to follow.

EPSOM Nominate a citizen

■Community Service hours available. Volunteer to help scrape the McClary Cemetery fence on Center Hill Road. This service is sponsored by the Town and the Epsom Conservation Commission. ■It’s time for the 2020 Epsom Citizen of the Year! Nominations are now being accepted by the Town Office. Written nominations should include the name of the nominee and why you think they should be recognized as Citizen of the Year. ■The School Board will meet on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the PMHS lecture hall with the request that participants follow social distancing guidelines when entering and exiting the meeting, as well as during the meeting itself.

■To honor and celebrate Pittsfield’s 2020 Citizen of the Year, Dr. Cedric Dustin III, a Car Parade is planned for Friday at 6:30 p.m. To join the parade, please meet at the high school or watch the parade from your home. The parade route will start at the high school, down Berry Avenue, left on Tilton Hill Road, left on Catamount Road, right on Clark Street, right on Main Street, down Factory Hill, right on River Road, right on Bridge Street, right on Fayette Street, right on Depot Street, right on Green Street, left on Chestnut Street, left on Main Street, left on Carroll Street, right on Catamount Road, left on Oneida Street and end at the high school. Decorate your car in the Old Home Day theme of red, white and blue.

■The Suncook Valley Soccer/Pittsfield Youth Baseball clubs would like to purchase 3-4 automatic hand sanitizer stations for use at the fields to keep everyone safe. ■The Pittsfield Historical Society continues to raise funds for a new museum and headquarters. A commemorative garden on the museum grounds is being worked on. A “buy-a-brick” project affords an opportunity for people to buy a brick to honor yourself, loved ones, or whomever you wish to remember. ■The playground and basketball court have been opened up at Drake Field. Residents are asked to be respectful of the facilities and do your best to limit the spread of germs. If you witness inappropriate behavior or someone littering, please notify the Pittsfield Police Department.

■The Josiah Carpenter Library Summer Reading program has begun! The theme for this summer’s reading program is “Imagine your Story.” Visit the library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday or Thursday to learn more and pick up packets and/or a new story. The story will be posted on Facebook every Monday with fun activities, crafts and prizes throughout! The summer program is for preschool through sixth grade. A younger aged craft and an older STEM craft is also available for pick up at the library.

■The Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry through the First Congregational Church will be open on Tuesday with new guidelines in place for the time being. The pantry will be open from 9-11 a.m. Please call 435-7471 when you arrive in the parking lot. Clients will not be able to enter the church at this time. Weather permitting, staff will place your diapers and wipes in a bag with your name attached and place it on a table in the parking lot. Please use the parking lot off Chestnut Street. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to navigate through this pandemic.

■Pittsfield Youth Workshop summer registration is open. Outdoor activities are planned on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-5 p.m. Virtual programs will continue on Wednesdays. Register at pittsfieldyouthworkshop.org. PYW staff will confirm your registration with a phone call several days before the program. There is a limited number of spaces per activity, but there will be a waiting list. A new schedule of activities will be emailed every two weeks.

■The FB Argue Recreation Area (aka the Town Beach) is open. Masks only need to be worn if social distancing is not possible. Snacks are also available now.
