PENACOOKSeniors invited to swap

■The Penacook Community Center Senior Program continues its free Drive Up Exchange every Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the PCC Flagpole. Available to all seniors in Penacook and surrounding communities, the exchange provides the opportunity to get out in the community safely, have in-person contact and have access to a library of activities such as books, magazines, puzzle books, puzzles and DVDs. There is no cost for signing out materials. You may keep what you take, or borrow and return another week when ready to exchange for something else. One person is allowed at the table at a time. Remain in your car until the previous person is done. Please wear a mask for the protection of everyone. All items will be cleaned to the best of their ability and held for a minimum of 24 hours after cleaning before becoming available to exchange. Donations of books, magazines, puzzle books, puzzles, DVDs (in good condition) for adults can be dropped off anytime on the PCC Office porch. For questions or more information, please contact Kristen Pinard-Kenney, PCC Senior Program Coordinator, at kristenpk@penacookcommunitycenter.org.

■Ward 9 voters will now cast their ballots at the City of Concord Heights Recreation Center, 9 Canterbury Road, for the September primary and November general election. This may be confusing because that location is in Ward 8. However, Ward 8 voters will still go to the Bektash Temple on Pembroke Road to cast their ballots. Election officials had to move from Havenwood to the Community Center due to COVID-19 concerns. It is not too early to request the applications for absentee ballot voting from the city clerk. Contact Janice Bonenfant at 225-8500 for information

■Happy birthday greetings are extended to Dick Benson, David Dale and Paul Parisi!

■Great bouquet of sunshine wishes are extended to Oscar and Anita Serard! Many former students at Concord High School might remember Mr. Serard as he taught there for many years.

■I have been informed of the sudden passing of former Deputy Sheriff and Concord Police Officer Larry Thomas. Larry had been assisting at Beaver Meadow School in recent years. No funeral arrangements have been announced.

■I would like to extend deepest sympathies to Arthur Nolin for the loss of his wife Sandy. You may remember Arthur as manager of the IGA Market in King’s Plaza. She will be buried in the N.H. Veterans Cemetery.
