Chris Sununu is a coward. He refuses to issue a mask mandate. Why?
Why would he risk a rapid up-swing in cases as visitors swarm in for NASCAR and Bike Week?
I think because he is afraid of losing the support of the Reopen NH voters. Led by JR Hoell and Andrew Manuse, this Political Action Committee boasts over 7,000 โmembers.โ Actually, these are people who have signed the online petition, but letโs not quibble about the details.
Obviously, if this voting block gets behind, say, Karen Testerman, Sununu could be sunset.
I encourage the governor to follow the lead of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and mandate masks before our case count begins to tick upwards. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis still hasnโt, and as the cases skyrocket, his approval rating goes in the opposite direction.
