Sponsored by the Greater Meredith Program, the Meredith Sculpture Walk Ground Team has installed two new sculptures so far of the 13 that were jury selected for this year. The sculptures are positioned throughout town in high visibility areas along Main Street, on the grounds of the Mill Falls complex and in the Hesky and Scenic lakeside parks. While some of the current sculptures will remain, those that have been part of the project for two years will be retired and 13 new ones are being installed.

Two of the most recently installed are “The Treat” by Jeffery Briggs of Newburyport, Mass. in front of the Innisfree Bookstore and “Center of Gravity” by David Skora from New Hartford, Conn., placed in Community Park on Main Street. The Meredith Sculpture Walk Ground Team is made up of volunteers who help the artists with installing their work. Many artists have commented and thanked them for this valuable help saying “I usually have to do this my myself.”

The Meredith Sculpture Walk is a committed to developing awareness and enjoyment of public art in Meredith,  for residents and visitors. It is a year-round, outdoor, juried exhibition featuring works by artists from the northeast. New brochures with a walking map will be available when all the sculptures are installed by the end of August.

The Greater Meredith Program is a nonprofit seeking to enhance economic vitality, historical and cultural heritage, and town-wide beautification.
