My name is Jenn Alford-Teaster, and I’m running for N.H. Senate in District 8.

Throughout this campaign I have talked to voters who are profoundly concerned about our underfunded schools, rising property taxes, and unaffordable health costs.

Since I first ran in 2018, I have heard troubling stories from voters about how these challenges have only grown during the pandemic. Voters are looking for leaders to show political courage and do the necessary work of protecting our community during a pandemic while simultaneously investing in community building blocks that will allow each one of us to reach our potential.

Specifically, we need to invest in our public schools to give every child equal access to quality education no matter the ZIP code that they live in. We need to expand trades and apprenticeship opportunities so we can rebuild the local economy. Additionally, we need to expand affordable access to health care to address disparities that always existed but were magnified by the pandemic. To accomplish all of this, we need leaders who have both the lived experience and the professional experience to advocate for these fundamental needs. I promise to use my experience as public health scientist, and a native Granite Stater, to advocate for all of us.

I came from a life of profound struggle but worked hard to be where I am today. I am ready to apply that same tenacity and grit to work for the Granite State. I hope to earn your vote this November.
