I am writing in support of Allie Maltais for school board for District B, wards 5, 6, and 7 in Concord.

Allie reached out to me when I was having some problems getting services for my two boys with IEPs in the Concord School District.

Allie is a mom herself with a child on the spectrum so she relates and truly knows what parents of special needs children are going through. She spent over an hour on the phone with me and was passionate about helping my kids, giving me resources, and connecting me with people in the community who can help me.

I felt like I was talking to another concerned, supportive mom, not a candidate. She truly knows what it means to fight for your children and to get them the services they deserve.

Her background in nursing, mental health, and education give her a well-rounded holistic perspective on children, how they learn and their social-emotional health. She’s not just concerned about academics and grades, but also the mental health and emotional well-being of our children.

I’ve been so worried and overwhelmed fighting for my kids, but after talking to Allie I felt like I have an advocate and somebody on my side.

We need someone on the board who is willing to get in trenches, and fight for our most vulnerable children. She will not only make sure your voice is heard but amplify the voices of our most vulnerable children.
