BOSCAWEN Virtual Coffee House

■Voting will be on Nov. 3 at Boscawen Elementary School on Best Avenue. Polls will be open between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. You will be able to register on the day of the election. The deadline to register at the Town Clerk’s office has passed. Contact Nicole Hoyt at 753-9188 ext. 310.

■Boscawen’s High Street Virtual Coffee House will be on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. This Coffee House will feature the Dana and Susan Robinson band and is open mic for all musicians, poets and comedians. CANTERBURY Get a Kill-o-Watt meter

■Supervisors of the Checklist will have an open session on Tuesday from 7-7:30 p.m. at Sam Lake House to make any additions or corrections necessary. No further alterations will be made after that. Residents may still register to vote on election day. Please have a photo ID and proof of Canterbury residence. Proof of residence can be from a license or a bill with the town address on it. There will also be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday to enter all applications into the state database.

■The Canterbury Town Clerk-Tax Collector’s Office is open to walk-in service Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesdays from 3-7 p.m. and Thursdays from 12-7 p.m. Residents are asked to continue utilizing the drop box outside the building to drop off payments or use the online option at canterbury-nh.org. The town clerk will be available on Nov. 2 from 3-5 p.m. for last minute election business and for the return of completed absentee ballots. The town moderator will also be at the Town Clerk’s Office at Sam Lake House at 1 p.m. on Nov. 2 to conduct partial processing of absentee ballots. This session is open to the public to observe.

■The Canterbury Energy Committee can help residents get and learn about a Kill-o-Watt Meter. It is a simple device that plugs into a wall outlet and then can be plugged in any regular electric cord to learn how much energy any electrical item uses. SALISBURY Image Contest

■Salisbury is having a 2020 Town Report Cover Image Contest. All Salisbury artists and photographers of any age are encouraged to enter. The best image will be featured on the cover. The town will also use great images submitted inside the report where possible. All of the contributors will receive recognition in this historic document. To enter, email your JPG or GIF file before Dec. 18 to salisburymuniasst@tds.net with the subject “Annual Report Photo Contest.” The winning artist will be contacted before the artwork/photo goes to print so that artist may sign releases.

■Trick-or-treating in Salisbury will be on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. in town. Happy Halloween all!

■Come to the Salisbury Woods Haunted Barn and Trail and get scared for a great cause. This spooktacular event is a fundraiser for the Salisbury PTG, MVMS, PTO and MUBU and will be open Saturday from 7-10 p.m. It is located near the Salisbury four corners (intersection of Route 4 and Route 127), 19 Franklin Road. ■The Salisbury Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department is raffling off a gun and $500 gift certificate for The Barn Store of New England! This year, you can win either a 12g shotgun or $500. Tickets are $10 and are available from a member of the department.

■Voting will take place on Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Salisbury Safety Complex located at 273 Old Turnpike Road. Masks will be required inside the polling area. If a person cannot or does not want to wear a mask, another separate area outside will be provided for those voters.

■The pre-processing of absentee ballots takes place on Thursday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. This session may be live streamed.

■A mandatory meeting for all election officials, Inspectors of the Election and volunteers who have been contacted by the moderator will be held Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall. Masks required.

■Nov. 2 by 5 p.m. is the last time to request an absentee ballot application from the Town Clerk.
