Karen Green received the Granite State Ambassador’s Tourism Service Award in September. The Service Award is given to the ambassador that serves the GSA program, volunteering their time with enthusiasm. They are someone who shares their training and expertise with others while continuing to learn about the state of New Hampshire through GSA special events, tours, and specialized trainings. This member is frequently described as a dependable and dedicated Granite State Ambassador, who loves helping people with a smile and lots of knowledge to share. She readily participates in many of our learning opportunities. Green, a member of the N.H. Historical Society/Centennial Hotel Class of 2016, is a regular volunteer at the State House Visitor Center, the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport information booth, and at special events.

Emily Forde was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Seton Hall University.

Nathan Cormier is a member of the Clarkson University Chem-E-Car team that took first place in the first-ever virtual Northeast Regional AlChE Chem-E-Car Competiton on Oct. 4.

Amanda Nikias earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in legal studies from Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.

Sawyer Lemay graduated from Stonehill College’s Class of 2020 during a virtual commencement in August.

Matthew Caputo, a math teacher at John Stark Regional High School, has been awarded a 2020 Edyth May Sliffe Award by the Mathematical Association of American Mathematics Competitions. This national education prize is awarded annually to middle and high school mathematics teachers for their outstanding work to motivate students through participation in the MAA American Mathematics Competitions. This year, 20 teachers received the Slifee award. Caputo is one of only two recipients of the award in New England.
