■Open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act continues through Dec. 15. Visit nh.gov/insurance/consumers/mp_plans.htm to enroll for the plan that is right for you. Plans become effective Jan. 1. If you are already enrolled, this is an opportunity to review and alter your plan if necessary.

■Parks & Recreation is sponsoring a COVID-19 safe Santa visit on Friday from 3:30-6 p.m. at Bessie Rowell Community Center. Reservations are necessary by calling 934-2118. Masks, hand washing and temperature checks are mandatory. Santa will remain behind a barrier.
■The Festival of Trees, produced by the Franklin Opera House, returns for its eighth season for weekends of Dec. 4 and Dec. 11. Visit franklinoperahouse.org for details or call 934-1901. The event is free, however tickets will be required to reserve the time you wish to walk through and participate in the raffle. This guarantees social distancing. Masks must be worn. Many beautiful holiday items will be on display.
■The Recreation Center is sponsoring Boomer’s BBQ Toy Drive on Dec. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Bessie Rowell Community Center. Please bring new unwrapped toys for boys and girls of all ages. Boomer’s offers a free meal to anyone dropping off toys. This drive is also sponsored by ClearChoiceMD.
■A special seasonal edition of Franklin Town Crier is posted on many Franklin Facebook sites, noting organizations to which you might make donations during the holiday season.
