EAST SIDEChristmas tree sale

■Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Immanuel Community Church, East Congregational Church, Grace Episcopal Church, Granite State Baptist and Concordia Lutheran Church are offering a variety of worship services and Masses. Please check each church’s website or Facebook page details about online services. Some churches also offer a service or Mass in the evenings on a weekday.

■I hope everyone who celebrates Christmas will take a look at the recently renovated Christmas Creche at the State House Plaza. The Concord Council Knights of Columbus No. 112 did an excellent job of renovating the building. Thanks to Deacon Bill Lavalley for donating the trailer and to Lily St. Hilaire for washing and painting the figurines to pristine condition. It was truly a remarkable scene. Thank you to the Knights for all the work you did.

■The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church is selling fresh cut Christmas spruce trees by the Activity Center on 180 Loudon Road. The proceeds benefit the Community Service Fund.

■The New Hampshire State Police will be collecting toys for the annual Toys for Tots Campaign in its parking lot on Hazen Drive on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A big thank you to those who brought toys to the Christmas Parade. Brian Blackden presented them to Sgt. Kopko at the Christmas Tree Celebration. The New Hampshire Federal Credit Union is donating $100 to the campaign.

■The Kiwanis Club of Concord will be meeting on Dec. 14 at noon at the Red Blazer Restaurant. Members will be ringing the bells for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive.

■Concord Grange #322 will meet Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Gary Ford will send the instructions to members on how to join. The Grange will be working with Friends Program on Thompson Street to provide gifts for children. Kudos to the Christmas Parade chairman and assistants for a job well done with the 69th Annual Concord Christmas Parade. Planning has already begun on the 70th annual celebration to be held Nov. 20, 2021.
