Our car went off the road in the snowstorm on Dec. 17. Thankfully the only injuries were to our pride. Passengers and vehicle were not hurt. We were quickly able to call for roadside assistance and begin the forewarned long wait for their arrival.
The weather outside was frightful, but we were blown away by the number of people who stopped to ask if we were okay, needed any help, or offer words of encouragement and calm. That kindness helped temper the whole experience.
