Four teens were chosen from the entire state for this exciting new position. Canterbury’s own Cate McDonald has been chosen for this honor. ■Town Clerk: Just a friendly reminder for everyone in town who owns a dog, I have completed entering all dog licenses into the new software for Town Clerk records. I am now going to be entering all unlicensed dogs into the system. After, I will be mailing out notices to all residents who did not register their dogs in 2020. If you wish to register your dogs for 2021 as well please simply pay both years and tags and license will be sent for both. In May, I will be mailing out notices for all dogs that are not licensed by April 30. Starting in June, with the help of the Sheriff’s Department, deputies may begin visiting people’s houses to collect the fee for those unregistered dogs. This is the law. Anyone who has any questions about their dogs’ license please contact me through email tclerksalisbury@gmail.com or by phone 648-6322. Costs for dog registration are as follows. Spayed/Neutered dogs are $6.50 each. Dogs that are not Spayed/Neutered are $9 each. Any resident over 65 only pays $2 for their first license and full price for any additional dogs. I will not respond through Facebook or Messenger.
