I enjoyed reading the Jan. 28 front-page article by David Brooks about Greenlands Outdoor Power Equipment moving up Manchester Street to a new location.
I currently own four pieces of equipment bought there and they all work well. In addition they have helped me keep running a 41-year-old lawn-garden tractor. They seem to enjoy fixing it as much as I enjoy owning it.
On the same front page there is an article by Ethan DeWitt about businesses fined by the state for COVID-19 violations possibly getting a refund, a move urged by several lawmakers.
Over the last year, at their old and now in their new location, Greenlands has been exceptional in their COVID safety precautions, and very unlike the businesses that got fines. Of all the essential Concord businesses that I have visited in these last 10 epidemic months, Greenlands has done the best in protecting me, other customers, and their staff. This includes my visits to medical offices and the hospital. The time, effort, and expense of making the safety precautions work, now times two with the move, is greatly appreciated.
Josh, Mike, Dave, and the rest of the staff at Greenlands do a great job in keeping us safe. They deserve our business. Maybe the governor and the lawmakers can give them a COVID safely award.
