An open letter to Gov. Sununu: On Saturday, Feb. 6, I received my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. The second dose is due on or about Feb. 27. However, the wonderful VAMS system has me scheduled for April 1. How did three weeks become seven-plus weeks?
As of Sunday, Feb. 7, the VAMS system is no longer running the vaccine program. Now it is all under the control of the State of New Hampshire. Those getting a COVID vaccine starting Feb. 7 will receive an appointment for their second dose when they get the first one. Are those who received their first vaccine a day after I received mine going to be scheduled for second doses before me and all others who had the misfortune to get caught in the VAMS system or is the state of New Hampshire going to arrange for us the get a second dose within the three-week or four-week time frame (depending on which vaccine they received) at the same Concord location?
I and many others caught in the VAMS system would like to know how you intend to address this issue. We are not looking for special treatment. We just want to be treated the same as those lucky enough to not have been caught in the VAMS system.
Please let us know as soon as you can. I and many others thank you for your attention to this matter.
