Donald Trump seems to want it both ways. He has refused to concede that he lost the 2020 election. But now that he is being impeached again, his lawyers are saying he can’t be convicted because he lost the election and isn’t president anymore. This is about as logical as allowing a car driver to be found not guilty of a serious motor vehicle offense because he threw away his driver’s licence before he came to trial.
