■Allenstown Hazard Mitigation Plan Adoption Meeting will be held on Monday at 6 p.m. on at Town Hall.

■The Suncook Senior Center has a Grab and Go Meal Program on Mondays and Thursdays between 11 a.m. and noon. Seniors are welcome to come and pick up five meals provided by Community Action. Please call Michele in advance at 485-4254 to reserve these meals. Please do not come into the building. Staff will bring the food out to you.

■The Town of Allenstown has a part-time position open for deputy town clerk/tax collector. Call Kathleen at Town Hall for more information at 485-4276 ext.116.

■Dog licenses are due and available at the Allenstown Town Hall. The cost for unaltered dogs is $10. Altered dogs cost $7.50. Licenses expire annually on April 30. Transactions can also be done online at allenstownnh.gov or call 485-4276 ext.116.

CHICHESTERTown meetings postponed to May

■Chichester Central School will be closed for February vacation this week.

■George Washington’s birthday is Monday. He was born in 1732.

■BCEP Solid Waste District will have a meeting at the facility on Thursday at 6 p.m. BCEP is seeking applicants for an administrator to ensure the efficient management of all operational and planning activities. Contact Hugh Curley at hugh@bcepsolidwaste.com. Closing date is March 1.

■A Girl Scout troop will be selling Girl Scout cookies on Friday at Chichester Town Hall. A drive through option is available.

■The Chichester Town Library Down Under Bookstore will be open on Saturday from 9-11 a.m.

■Chichester school moderator Pamela Stiles and town moderator Ewen MacKinnon voted on Feb. 9 to change the traditional March meetings to May 8 (school meeting), May 11 (town voting) and May 15 (town meeting).

■Congratulations to firefighter Josiah Noyes being welcomed into the Hooksett Fire Rescue Department.

■The Chichester Parks and Recreation Committee has been working on the town trail and the work is completed. Members are working to get the gutters installed on the Snack Shack.

■Chichester zoning and tax maps are available online. Visit the town website under “Town Clerk/Tax Collector” to download these maps.

■The Chichester Library has a site for kids called “Kids Click, the Freedom to Explore.” Check out the library page on the town website. The library also has a Facebook page.

■Fifty acres of conservation land between Marsh Pond and Main Street is open to residents for hiking and snowshoeing. Dogs are also welcome. Be careful going onto the pond. Soft spots are often near the edges.

■The town clerk and tax collector are available by appointment only on Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

■The Flannel Tavern located in Chichester has ties to our town. Sue Williams was a beloved teacher at Chichester Central School for many years. Her daughter, Carrie Williams, opened the the Tavern and has made donations to the town to help others.

■The Epsom Supervisors of the Checklist will meet at the Town Office Meeting Room on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 10-11 a.m. for the correction of checklist. This is the last day for town clerk/supervisors to accept voter registration applications. No additions or corrections shall be made to the checklist after this session, until election day, except as provided in RSA 659:12, RSA 654:8,11.

■The First Congregational Church of Pittsfield’s Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry has seen an increase in numbers since reopening in June. Your help is needed to assist many young struggling families. Size 3, 4, 5 and 6 diapers, along with wipes, pull-ups and overnights are needed. To arrange for drop off, call the church at 435-7471. If you are able to help financially, please make checks out to FCC-Pittsfield and please note in the memo that it is for the Diaper Pantry. ■The AARP Tax Aide Program is running this year. You are encouraged to go to nhtaxhelp.org to start the reservation process and fill out the questionnaire. You can also call 211. You will need to give your name,  phone number and other information as requested to get on the reservation list. An IRS certified tax preparer will contact you via phone. Watch for a call from 978-905-8271 or an email from  500196262@aarpfoundation.org­ to set up two 15-minute appointments.

PITTSFIELDYouth Workshop news

■Senior Center Community Lunch and Meals to Go will offer curbside pickup on Thursday. If you have participated in the Senior Center’s community dining and you are over the age of 60, then this service is available for you. Please call the center if you are interested and someone will bring your meal to your car. Just call 435-8482 and ask about what meals are available.

■Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session on Saturday at Town Hall from 9:30-10 a.m. to register new voters and make necessary corrections for Town Election Day on March 9.

■A 4-H Community Service Project, led by Jeremiah Chapman, is requesting donations that benefit folks who utilize Meals on Wheels. Items requested are: size 9 or 10 manila envelopes, books, birthday cards, stamps, puzzle books (preferably word searches and crosswords), individually wrapped snacks, coffee, tea, baskets of any size and small gift items (such as pens and pads of paper). Donations may be dropped off at the Josiah Carpenter Library until June. 1.

■Pittsfield Youth Workshop has opened for winter in-person programming! Program activities will continue to look different, but will be fun while staying safe and healthy! Youth are not required to register ahead of time for each day of programming, this may need to be implemented in the future (due to space regulations). Programs will be scheduled monthly and each day will have an organized activity. Masks will need to be worn in the building at all times, except when eating. A friendly reminder to all families that membership and program fees for the 2021 school year will be waived to insure all youth will have the opportunity to participate in PYW activities! ■The Pittsfield Historical Society continues to raise funds for a new museum and headquarters. A commemorative garden on the museum grounds is being worked on. A “buy-a-brick” project affords an opportunity for people to buy a brick to honor yourself, loved ones, or whomever you wish to remember.
