■Allenstown town elections will be held on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Parish Hall, 10 School St.
■The Suncook Senior Center has a Grab and Go Meal Program on Mondays and Thursdays between 11 a.m. and noon. Seniors are welcome to come and pick up five meals provided by Community Action. ■The Chichester Youth Association announced that registration for the upcoming baseball and softball season is now open at chichesteryouth.com. Please register by Sunday. Coaches are

■The Chichester Road Advisory Committee will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the town highway shed. All residents are welcome to attend.
■Chichester Central School will be closed on Tuesday for a professional development day for teachers. All schools in SAU 53 will be closed.
■Chichester Central School is a feeder school to Pembroke Academy. There will be an area committee meeting on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
■Parks and Recreation will meet on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
■The Chichester Library will have a book sale on Saturday. Books, puzzles, games and DVDs are available for 25 cents. Use the rear entrance of the library.
■March 14 is Daylight Savings. Clocks will spring forward one hour.
■Seasonal maximum weight upon Chichester town roads will commence on March 15 and end April 30. The board of selectmen established that the weight limit for all town roads shall be restricted to 6 tons. During this time period the use of vehicles of certain weight may cause damage or extraordinary maintenance expense during the spring thaw.
■Chichester Central School will be hybrid until April 2. That status will be evaluated at the March 16 school board meeting. A recent survey had the following results: 63.9% of parents want school reopened, 21.8% want hybrid and 10% want remote. For teachers, 43.3% want school reopened, 46.7% want hybrid and 10% want remote learning.
■Dog licenses for 2021 are available at the town clerk’s office. Dogs are required to be licensed by April 30. Rabies vaccinations must be current to be renewed. Renewal of dog licenses can be accomplished on the town website as long as rabies vaccinations are up to date. Contact Bonnie, acting town clerk, at 798-5350 for information.
■Chichester soccer players with the U8-U19 program are eligible to play competitive spring soccer with Revolution United. Teams will play games in May-June. Refer questions to 225-3700.
■The “Chichester and Surroundings Towns Small Business” Facebook page has over 650 members. It is a great place to find and share area business news.
■The Chichester Police Department has seen an increase of catalytic converter thefts and attempted thefts. If you hear something that does not sound normal at night like a saw cutting metal call the police.
■Chichester students attending Pembroke Academy’s AP biology class are interested in incubating chicks and are looking for fertile eggs. After they hatch, the students are looking for anyone interested in taking the chicks. Contact a Chichester student in the class or contact Pembroke Academy at 485-7881.
■The Suncook Valley Little League has opened up registration for Chichester children ages 4-12 regardless of gender or experience. Register at sllnh.com. The league has multiple levels of play including tee ball, farm league, minor and major leagues.
■The BCEP Solid Waste District would like to remind Chichester residents that a permit sticker is required on every vehicle to bring materials to the facility. The Chichester town clerk has decals at no charge to residents or can be picked up at the facility with proper ID. Residents often ask why a sticker is needed. Having a sticker makes sure that only residents from the four towns in the BCEP District are bringing materials.
■The Chichester Grange had a challenging year, but still accomplished many events to benefit the town. Flowers were planted, dictionaries were delivered to third graders in area towns, and charitable donations were made to various associations. This spring, expect to see new American flags on Main Street replacing those that have been damaged or gone missing. The charter was draped in loving memory of three longtime members this year: Barbara Gilman, Norman Bowles and Louise Flanders. Chichester recognized Ginny Azotea for 80 years of membership and Mary West for 25 years.
■Chichester resident Tou Tou Marsden recently interviewed Chad Ardizzoni of “Get Down Tonight Entertainment” and is featured on YouTube. Tou Tou and her husband have owned Dell-Lea Weddings & Events for the past three years.
■Chichester Central School has four open positions starting July 1. Closing date is April 2. Positions available are: student support services teacher, special education teacher/case manager, teacher (grades 1, 2 or 3) and custodian. Contact the SAU at 485-5187.
■Leah Lacross, a local musician who has made her name as the “smilin’ violinist,” is experienced in playing in orchestras and at venues. She is now marketing her talents playing various genres in electric and acoustic for weddings, memorial services and gatherings. Contact Leah at 731-6926.
■Coyote sightings in Chichester have been common this fall and winter. The Department of Wildlife says that the aggression of coyotes will be high as mating season peaks during March. Please watch your small dogs and cats outside as coyotes will attack your pets.
■Chichester has a CSA (community supported agriculture) on 27 Swiggey Brook Road. Naboth Gardens and Apiary, owned by Brad and Trish Ayers, will have summer and fall vegetables available. The CSA will have full, half and quarter shares available. Contact 568-5540.
