After rolling to a win in its season opener, the Concord girls’ lacrosse team took a step back on Tuesday in its home opener with a 19-6 loss to Londonderry.
Junior Mary Martinson scored five of the six goals for the Crimson Tide (1-1). Concord goalie Teylor Greene finished with nine saves against the Lancers, who improved to 4-0 with the win.
The Tide hit a road block before this season even began when they were put on a pause during preseason as part of COVID protocols. The team did what it needed to do in order to come back, and looked ready for the season with its 19-4 win at Keene-Monadnock on Saturday.
Concord will get another crack at the Lancers on Thursday when the two teams meet in Londonderry.
