■In an effort to familiarize Andover area residents with the services provided by the Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice, and how to access them if the need arises, the Andover Community Hub will present a Zoom discussion with Jim Culhane, Lake Sunapee VNA president and CEO, on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Participants will learn about the various kinds of care offered, focused on enabling people to stay in their homes as long as possible. ■“Our Endangered Honey Bees & What We Can All Do to Help” will be presented via Zoom on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Kim Pease, owner of Tucker Mountain Farm and Apiary in Andover, will discuss the worrisome decline in numbers of both honeybees and other native bees in New Hampshire and nationwide, the possible causes, and the steps anyone with a yard can take to help these important pollinators. ■Boscawen Congregational Church services are open for in-person worship on Sundays at 10 a.m. Livestream of the service is still available through the church Facebook page at 10 a.m. on Sundays.

■Appointments are no longer required at the Boscawen Public Library, but masks are still required and reduced occupancy guidelines will be followed. The library is open Monday through Thursday from 12-4 p.m. No-contact reserve and pickup continues to be available. More information is available at boscawenpubliclibrary.org. ■A soup kitchen will be held on Saturday from 4:30-5 p.m. at Sovereign Grace Fellowship, 235 High St. (Route 4 west). It is a drive-up, dinner to-go program.

■New Hampshire law requires that the supervisors of the checklist verify the checklist every ten years. Any person on the checklist who has not voted in the past four years must re-register to remain on the checklist. The supervisors are sending notices to these voters at the address the voter provided when registering. The supervisors  will hold sessions for registering voters or changing affiliation on Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sam Lake House, 10 Hackleboro Road. Voters may check party affiliation online at app.sos.nh.gov/Public/PollingPlaceSearch.aspx. Applicants for registration should bring proof of identity, age, citizenship and domicile. Those who do not bring proof with them may still register if they sign an affidavit attesting to their qualifications for identity, age and citizenship and/or domicile.

■Elkins Public Library hours are Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Face masks are required. Please ring the doorbell before entering the building. Appointments are required for computer usage in 30-minute time slots. Please call to make arrangements. Curbside pickup is still offered. 

■Story Time-To-Go kits are created for young readers to promote literacy development. Each kit is based on the interests and reading level of the individual reader and contains books, activity sheets and crafts with materials included. Call or email the library to receive your own kit. 

■A safe observance of Memorial Day will be held this year on May 31. The town will forego the traditional parade down the hill and gather at the bandstand at 10 a.m. The Belmont High School band will provide the music and Mark Stevens will be the featured speaker. In case of inclement weather, the observance will be canceled via town email and a sign on the bandstand.

■The planning board is meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. at Academy Hall. Masks are required for all indoor meetings. The Zoom link is available at salisburynh.org.

■The Old Home Day Committee is looking for members and volunteers. The committee is meeting on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. at Academy Hall. All are welcome. Check salisburynh.org for more information. Old Home Day is scheduled for Aug. 7, with a possible second day on Aug. 8.

■The board of selectmen will meet on May 19 at 6 p.m. at Academy Hall. You can also join the meeting virtually via Zoom. Visit salisburynh.org for the Zoom link.

■The Friends of Forgotten Children food pantry located at 224 Bog Road in Concord serves 23 towns in Merrimack County and Salisbury is one of them. They are open on Thursdays from 9-11:15 a.m. and 12-7 p.m. A household can come once a month for food. During COVID-19, the pantry is not verifying income eligibility. First-time clients should bring proof of residency for each member of the household. Call 753-4801 upon arrival and someone will take your information and bring your food outside. There is also a clothing pantry.

■May vehicle renewal registration information has been mailed to those who need to renew. Please follow the directions in the letter enclosed and the town clerk will mail your new stickers and registration to you. If you cannot access these services online contact the town clerk’s office by phone (648-6322), fax (648-6658) or email (tclerksalisbury@gmail.com) with questions. For new vehicles, marriage licenses and vital records, please email the town clerk and request an appointment.

■Library service hours for pickup and delivery are Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday from 1-7 p.m., Thursday from 1-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call or email the library (salisburyfree@gmail.com) to arrange no-contact pickup and delivery. WEBSTERPlant swap

■Spring is springing and with the rain we’ve had lately a lot of plants in the garden are popping up.  Pillsbury Lake Management and the Webster Free Public Library invite all of Webster to a plant swap on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Pillsbury Lake Clubhouse on Deer Meadow Road. If you have pots you want to send to a new home, bring them along. Be sure to label your plants so the person taking them home knows what they have.

■The Webster Town-Wide Yard Sale will be on May 22 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is sponsored by the Webster Elementary School PTO and serves as a fundraiser for the school. Register by sending your name, mailing address, yard sale address, phone number and email address to the school (WES PTO, 936 Battle St., Webster, NH 03303 by Wednesday). Additional donations are always welcomed, as the PTO is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization. Email websterwildcatspto@gmail.com. Are you a buyer? The PTO will sell maps at the school on the morning of the yard sale for a fee of $2.
