BOSCAWEN Library hours resume

■Bonny John, Boscawen Public Library director, is happy to announce that as of June 14, they are back to their former open hours. Monday hours are 12 to 7 p.m. and the hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments are no longer needed but masks continue to be required and occupancy may be limited at all times. Our contactless reserve and pickup service remains available for those who prefer. Regular programming will resume on June 21. The Summer Reading Program will begin on June 21 also. ■The offices of the Town Clerk and Tax Collector are closed to the public on Friday. They are open Monday to Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The offices are closed from 12 to 1 p.m., daily.

Learn how to apply online for this audit and whether you qualify for 75% discount on energy improvement work that is suggested. You read that right, 75%. That is a pretty amazing offer! Members of the Energy Committee will be available each Wednesday in June and July from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the Library porch to go online with you to see if your home qualifies. ■Petals in the Pines offers many fun outdoor programs for adults and families, open daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adults will enjoy our walking trails, labyrinth, and meandering through our flower gardens and meadow. Families with young children can walk our “Tale Trail,” reading the pages of the book In a Nutshell posted along our woodland trails, bringing the story to life. Enjoy time playing in our Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom after you finish the story. “Spread Your Wings Days,” a time for discovery and unstructured play, is held each Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., reservations required. ■A very special book group meets June 15 at 7 p.m. to discuss The Wrong Kind of Woman, by our neighbor and friend, Sarah Crow may be downloaded on NH Downloadable Audio Books, Hoopla and print copies are available at the library. Sarah will give a book talk about her recent publication, read excerpts and answer your questions. When it comes to fiction writing, Sarah McCraw Crow is obsessed with women’s lives and the drama of family life. Sarah has lived in Canterbury for 17 years, and she and Peter have three young-adult children. The Wrong Kind of Woman (Mira/HarperCollins) is her first novel. ■“Keep Calm and Craft On” Join Sue on Zoom on June 16 at 11am to create a beautiful serving dish that is both decorative and useful using a clear glass plate, fabric and dishwasher safe Modge Podge. Kit supplies are available at the library the first week of June. If you would like to use your own fabric you’ll need a 12×12” piece. Fabrics should be washed and dried. This is a Zoom event so please provide your email when you pick up your supplies.

SALISBURY Board vacancies

■The Town of Salisbury is in need of regular members and alternate members to fill the following vacancies for 2021-22: planning board (three alternates, one regular member), zoning board of adjustment (five alternates), cemetery committee (regular member) and budget committee (regular member). Training is available through the New Hampshire Municipal Association and paid for by the Town of Salisbury. ■June vehicle renewal registration information has been mailed to those who need to renew. This only covers vehicles previously registered in Salisbury, not new vehicles or vehicles of new residents. Online vehicle registration for renewals and dog licensing is now live. See the town’s website under the department of the town clerk for that information. ■Overdue notices for all unlicensed dogs will be going out in the mail.

■The Salisbury Farmers Market will open on June 21. Hours are 3-6 p.m. every Monday afternoon throughout the summer (except holidays). If you are interested in being a vendor at the market, please reach out to Helen Binette at 648-2156.

■Library service hours for pickup and delivery are Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday from 1-7 p.m., Thursday from 1-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call or email the library (salisburyfree@gmail.com) to arrange no-contact pickup and delivery. Storytime is done live on Facebook on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. The library also participates in 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. Any child age 5 and under who has not yet started kindergarten can participate. All books read with, or to, the participating child counts. Printing, scanning and faxing services are still available at the library by appointment. Call the library to make arrangements. The library also has passes for New Hampshire State Parks. WEBSTERUpcoming meetings

■The Webster Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a virtual public hearing on June 8 at 7 p.m. The hearing will be held virtually due to COVID-19 and in accordance with Governor Sununu’s Emergency Order #12, pursuant to Executive Order 2020-04. The board will consider an application from Paul Faxon for a special exception to Article V, Section 1 of the Webster Zoning Ordinance regarding a commercial exemption for a custom woodworking business. The property is located on map 7, lot 7 at 299 Battle St. in the residential/agricultural zone. If the application is approved, then a second public hearing will be held during the planning board meeting of June 17 at 6:30 p.m. for a site plan review application, as required.
