■The Andover Historical Society’s second annual online auction began June 18 and is continuing this week. Visit charityauction.bid/AHS. Click “Auction Catalog” to find brief descriptions and a thumbnail photo of each item in the auction. All funds raised support the work of the society. This event replaces the historical society’s annual Old Time Fair for the second year, due to the pandemic.
■Monthly Trivia Night will be hosted by The Andover Community Hub on Thursday at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Questions are for all ages in a variety of categories. ■Former hours and regular programs are back at the Boscawen Public Library. The Craft Group meets on Monday at 2 p.m. Preschool StoryTime will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. The Summer Reading Program “Tails and Tales” kicks off on June 28. ■Boscawen Congregational Church is offering in-person worship at 10 a.m. on Sundays. Masks and social distancing will be required until further notice. ■Boscawen Congregational Church will be holding two fundraisers on Saturday. There will be an all-day fundraiser at the Black Forest Nursery on King Street. The nursery will be donating 10% of its sales that day to the church. Additionally, there will be a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church park and parking lot.
■A new fee schedule at the Boscawen Transfer Station went into effect on June 10 and can be found at townofboscawen.org.

■“Canterbury Tales and Trails,” a booklet with details on more than 30 trails, some maps, directions, resources, reflections and some town history, is available at the Country Store, Elkins Library and Shaker Village for $5. The library is planning on a digital edition. The library is also planning to eventually hang a large wall map with trail locations.
■The Canterbury Energy Committee and friends can show you how to apply for a low-cost or free home energy audit and up to an 80% discount on energy efficiency improvements you make. The committee is available on the library porch on Market Days (Wednesdays) from now through the end of July from 4:30-6 p.m. to assist you.
■Elkins Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is “Tails and Tales.” A kick off event will be held June 30 at 11 a.m. Join on Elkins Public Library’s Facebook page and watch live.
■The Canterbury Country Store and Friends of CCS are organizing a Pre-Fireworks Family Fun event on July 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Family and friends will gather in the center, spread out blankets or lawn chairs and have some hot dogs, ice cream and watermelon. Free hot dogs (sponsored by Farm Family Insurance and grilled to perfection by Mike Bertolone and crew) will be available from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The store will be open until 8 p.m. for drinks, chips or whatever snacks you need. Cornhole will be set up for a pick-up game.Visit with neighbors and then settle in for the big show around 9 p.m.

■The Town Clerk’s Office has reopened to the public. Masks are recommended for all those who are not fully vaccinated. Please continue to observe social distancing and wait until you are either called or the person in front of you leaves. Please be sure to bring your driver’s license and all necessary documentation with you. Renewals may still be done online or through the mail for your convenience. New vehicles and transfers need to be done in the office. Payments may be made in cash, check or with a credit/debit card. Hours are Mondays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesdays from 3:30-8:30 p.m.

Any child age 5 and under who has not yet started kindergarten can participate. All books read with, or to, the participating child counts. Printing, scanning and faxing services are still available at the library by appointment. The library also has passes for New Hampshire State Parks.
