This summer, Canterbury Shaker Village brings back its Sunday outdoor concert series with an exciting new lineup of performances. With the support of New England Foundation for the Arts, the Village is pleased to present a wide variety of performances for all to enjoy. From folk to classical, Music on the Meeting House Green offers something for everyone. The Village is hosting 13 summer concerts in a varied lineup, also featuring dance and poetry, culminating in a celebration of the arts for all to enjoy.
On July 4, don’t miss Kathy Lowe. Lowe won a jingle-writing contest when she was 16 and never looked back. She has been writing and performing her own music since 1968, playing guitar and dulcimer, and especially enjoys finding songs that people can sing along with. She creates music that is personal, universal, fun and profound.
The series began on June 20, and will continue every Sunday through September 19. Concerts are from 4 to 5 p.m. All concerts will be held on the iconic Meeting House Green, where there is always a beautiful view and a cool summer breeze. Suggested donation of $10 per person for each performance. Bring a picnic, bring a chair, and enjoy a series of concerts on the green.
