■A public hearing on veterans’ tax credits will be at City Hall on Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. Provisions for persons with special needs can be made by contacting the City Manager’s Office at 934-3900, or by mail at least five days prior to the public hearing.
■Franklin Area Children’s Theatre (FACT) is opening registration for Camp 2, which runs from Aug. 9-21. The camp ends with performances of Disney’s “Moana, Jr.” on Aug. 20-21. Visit franklinoperahouse.org to register for camp or to purchase tickets for the shows.
■The Franklin Opera House Celebrity Waiters Dinner, usually held in the fall, has been changed to “Aloha – 2021 Celebrity Waiter Cookout and Auction,” scheduled for Aug. 26 at Mojalaki Country Club. ■Franklin Parks & Recreation is looking for seasonal workers for its summer programs. Students entering grade 9 in the fall (or older) can enroll in the Counselor in Training Program.The program runs through Aug. 30.
