Concord Alumni scholarship winners announced

The Concord High School Class of 1953 is pleased to announce the names of the winners of the class’s three scholarships: Aakriti Bhattarai, Anna Gaby and Evan Marcus. The guidance department members at the high school evaluated all the applications. The district’s finance office distributes the awards to the schools that the winners will attend. The three students were among those recognized at the school’s award night held just before the close of school. The Class of 1953 has been awarding one or more scholarships every year (even in the pandemic year of 2020) since 2003, the class’s 50th reunion year. The Class of 1953 has met for an August luncheon every year but last year. They will gather later this month for their 68th reunion. Each of the winning recipients this year has studied a rigorous schedule and has been a member of the National Honor Society. They have taken part in school clubs, in school athletics, in school music programs and have made significant contributions to student life at Concord High School. Their families, teachers, and community members surely congratulate them and wish them good fortune as they continue their schooling.
