Pantries need supplies

■Made to order breakfast is available this Sept. 5 from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Masons, 58 S. Main Street, West Franklin.

■Visit the Farmer’s Market from 3 to 6 p.m. at Marceau Park every Thursday through Sept.30. Wonderful fresh produce, baked goods, artisans and more. SNAP/EBT cards, as well as credit/debit cards are accepted.

■The Franklin Bread & Roses Kitchen will be reopening for meals on Mondays and Thursdays beginning on Sept. 9. The Kitchen is in the Unitarian Universalist Church near the Peabody Home. Doors open at 4 p.m.; meals served at 5 p.m.

■Stuff the Bus to Feed the Need Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hannaford in Franklin. The Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry provides supplemental weekend food for children through your generosity. Please add them to your shopping list.

■Wildlife Track and Sign Walk is scheduled for Sept. 11 from 9 to 1 1 a.m. at Great Gains Forest. Visit extension.unh.edu/events/wildlife-track-sign-walk-great-gains-forest for information. The event is free but space is limited. Register at learnforlife.unh.edu.

■The Lions Club meets the first and third Mondays at Pizza Chef, 5:30 to 6 p.m. social time, place your order, meeting begins at 6 p.m. All are welcome. Contact Cheryl Powers at LionCherylPwrs@aol.com or 603-848-3373 for more information.

■ The Renaissance Faire is scheduled for Sept.11 and 12 at Odell Park.

■The Thrift Clothes Closet is gathering toiletries and hygiene products to give to Karma Korner. Call 934-2423 with any questions. Be sure to visit the Closet’s Facebook regularly to keep up on all their good work and excellent deals. Karma Korner, the in-school (free) store for students needs school supplies, underwear, detergent pods for the laundry. Later in the season they will be collecting winter outerwear, so keep that in mind as you go through your closets. Toiletries and hygiene products are being collected at the Thrift Clothes Closet, as this is an ongoing need. At this time, the Korner cannot accept any clothing. Shelving for display purposes is needed; please call the high school at 934-5411 to arrange for drop-off.

Franklin Parks and Rec has released their fall flyer. Visit franklinnh.recdesk.com/Community/Home to create an account and register your child(ren) or drop by the Recreation Department at 12 Rowell Drive. Volunteers and coaches are needed. Call 934-2118 with questions.

■Register now at Parks & Rec for Youth Soccer and Field Hockey, the Before and After School Program, the Kindness Club for ages 7 to10 (contact: Karen at 603-770-1851) and much more. The Junior Youth Group (Karen 603-770-1851) serves sixth and seventh graders (ages 11 – 13) and meets Fridays from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rec Center.

■Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry needs plastic, paper, or reusable bags! Please drop off at 2 Central Street, Lower Level, or call 934-2662 to make other arrangements.
