The pandemic is not, should not be a political issue. It’s a public health issue and people have been working diligently to guide us through the pandemic maze, which is not easy since there is no game plan for a pandemic. We must learn and adapt as we go. That is the challenge but people are dying and sick and we cannot get back to any normalcy until we solve this global challenge. We can master this pandemic by following basic public health guidelines which for now are vaccination, masks and distancing from others depending on the situation. And data needs to be gathered to understand COVID, to allow for the best path forward. We can do this.
Vaccinations, look at how many people have successfully been vaccinated with no issues. Masks, most people can adapt when they need to. Kids are very adaptable if supported by those around them. And be aware of where you are, with lots of people, vaccinated or not? There is federal money for data collection and we need to use it. Historically, we as Americans rise to the occasion to protect our country and its citizens. Our patriots did not push their individual rights over the common good; they did what needed to be done for the good of all. We can beat this pandemic, stop unnecessary sickness and dying, allow children to go safely to school and workers, back to work. And we must do this before we are faced with yet another critical challenge. We can do this together.
