Councilors, please explain to the voting public why it is that by not accepting federal monies ($27 million to New Hampshire for the COVID vaccine for NH residents, including children) you shifted that cost to the NH Health Department? That means that we, the taxpaying citizens, pay twice, once to the federal government who would issue the payment that will surely now fund another entity and secondly to New Hampshire to make up the support for the NH Health Department.
You will now have to find the money within the state budget to fund the vaccine effort to keep NH residents safe. The four of you who voted against the $27 million investment in New Hampshireโs health should personally make up that missed payment. Will that be cash or credit card?
