The Concord man found guilty of manslaughter for fatally stabbing a woman in 2017 appeared before the New Hampshire Supreme Court Wednesday to appeal his conviction.

Daswan Jette, 25, is serving 15 to 30 years in prison for recklessly causing the death of Sabrina Galusha, 23, in a marijuana sale that turned violent outside Penacook Place Apartments on May 30, 2017.

The Supreme Court heard arguments on Wednesday in the case, which raises questions about the admissibility of certain evidence, WMUR reported.

Jette was acquitted of charges of first-and second-degree murder, but a jury found him guilty of manslaughter, a lesser charge, after a three week trial in Merrimack Superior Court.

Prosecutors in that trial argued that Jette knowingly caused Galusha’s death while committing a robbery, while Jette said he was acting in self-defense during an altercation with Galusha and her friends.

Galusha was a graduate of Concord High School and a licensed nursing assistant.
