■The yard sale at St. John the Baptist Parish Hall will be open after masses on Nov. 13 and Nov. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon. Those who wish check out the remaining goods from the yard sale, and take as much as you would like for free. ■Sympathy is extended to family and friends of Frank Curatalo. Frank passed away on Oct. 20. The Chichester Historical Society, his friends at the library and the friends he made in this town will always remember him in many ways. Frank’s artistic ability will be in town for many years.
■The Chichester PTO thanks businesses and individuals who donated to make the calendar raffle for the month on October successful. 340 calendars were sold with funds being used to promote the PTO many projects.
■Choice Furniture on Dover Road is closing their location after several years in Chichester. Cash and carry, no waiting. Their other locations will remain open.
■The Chichester 3rd grade science class have been studying weather and how natural disasters change the earth. The students had to build a home out of toothpicks and marshmallows that would survive an earthquake.
■The Chichester Fire/Rescue Department, the Live and Let Farm and maybe other surprises from Chichester will be participating in the Concord Christmas Parade on Nov. 20 at 9:30 p.m. The parade leaves Hazen Drive and proceeds up to the Heights area and takes a right by Pizza Hut. Be early as the area is very busy with spectators.
■Bea Douglas, a teacher at Chichester Central School and a friend to many appears in the Pittsfield Players fall production of “All Together Now!” The final day to see this amazing show is Nov. 14 at 2pm at the Scenic Theater in Pittsfield.
■The Chichester snowmobile trails are maintained by New Hampshire snowmobile clubs. You may see the NH Trail Dawgs or Ft Mountain Trailwinders dragging the trails. The NH Snowmobile Association supports the Trail Dawgs and Ft Mountain in keeping our trails in good shape. A fundraiser is being held and to purchase tickets go to NHSB.COM. or see a member of a local snowmobile club. Each ticket supports clubs in New Hampshire.
■The Chichester Police Department wants to remind us that fall is in the air and that means frost is on our vehicle windshields in the morning. Please make sure to clear windows before heading out.
■The Board of Selectmen will meet on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall. The Heritage Commission will be Nov. 18 at 7 p.m . On Nov. 19 the Trustee of Trust Funds will meet at the town hall at 9 a.m.
■On Dec. 18, Wreaths Across America will be in Chichester to remember and honor each of our 188 veterans with a wreath and the act of saying the name of every veterans aloud. ■Take a Hike Day is Nov 17. Fall is a terrific time to hit the trails in Chichester. Have you done the trail across from the Carpenter Park leading to the school and nearby pond? This trail is well marked. Two more trails are on Main Street, Shaw lot with plenty of parking and the Sanborn Conservation lot. The Chichester Conservation Commission keeps these lots in great shape for all of us to enjoy.
■The Chichester School Board will meet Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. at the school.
■The Capital Region Food Program is preparing for its 48th Annual Holiday Food Basket Project. The Town of Chichester has participated in this program for many years. Contact town hall for an application for a food basket as planning for this food distribution is underway.
■Nov. 15 is American Recycle Day. Gather up your unused books and DVDs and take them to the Chichester Library. The Library uses these books and DVDs for take out by patrons and also at their book sales.
■Frost is in the air and that means our fair weather friends will be leaving for warmer weather. You can register your vehicle up to four months in advance. Chichester Town Clerk is now registering vehicles that are due in November, December, January, and February.

Please remember fire permits are needed until the ground is covered with snow. Burning permits are also issued online.
■Each month Chichester Central School teachers nominate students for pizza with the principal in order to recognize goals being reached, hard work, kindness and adhering to our classroom and school expectations. The principal, teachers and students are excited to have this celebration time back again.

We generally have newborn through size six diapers, along with pull-ups and overnights. We use the parking lot off Chestnut Street. ■A local youth would like to collect food items for the homeless for the holidays and Pittsfield Main Street Variety is the drop-off location. Please consider donating easy to eat single serve items in the next few weeks. ■The Pittsfield Winter Parking Ban on town roads is effective Nov. 15 through April 15. This ban prohibits parking in or on the town’s roads or right of way between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. The purpose of this parking ban is to allow the winter or inclement weather maintenance crews unobstructed routes for snow removal and ice control, to maintain effectiveness of their routes.
■The Greater Pittsfield Chamber of Commerce will meet on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Community Center, lower level.
■The Chamber of Commerce regrettably announces that the annual Children’s Store will not be held this year.
