■A COVID vaccine clinic will be held at the Boscawen Police Department in their rear conference room on Dec. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All options currently offered will be available at this clinic, with no cost to you. Children are also able to get their shots. If you plan on attending, please contact Lt. ■Do some Holiday Shopping at the Boscawen Public Library! The Boscawen Historical Society is selling 2022 calendars for $15 each that are full of wonderful pictures of Fisherville, Penacook and Boscawen. While at the library, check out the shelves of free books and audio books.
■Applications for Holiday Food Baskets are available online at townofboscawen.org. If you need a paper application, please email Sarah Gerlack at Sgerlack@townofboscawen.org or call her at (603) 753-9188 X 23. The baskets will be ready for pickup on Dec. 22 from 8 to 10 a.m. at 116 North Main St. Baskets will not be held this year if you are unable to pick-up on the 22. Deliveries will be made on a case by case basis by contacting Sarah Gerlack.
■The Book Discussion Group is meeting on Tuesday at 2 p.m. to share their feedback on “The Darling Dahlias and Poinsetta Puzzle” by Susan Wittig Albert.
■A Town Parking Ban is in effect from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. until April 15. Vehicles are banned from parking in public lots and public right of ways between those hours.

■Be sure to reserve your ticket for the “Polar Express” Story Time Style on Dec. 14 and 15, sign up online or at the library. After singing holiday songs and listening to a reading of “The Polar Express,” the story timers will be invited to stay for a socially distanced Hot Chocolate Bar. The train leaves the Elkins Public Library at 10 a.m. The library will have Polar Express Movie kits available for home viewing starting Dec. 16. Kits will include a movie to borrow, cocoa, popcorn and a gift for each child.

■The Free Friday Night Movie for December will be “Mixed Nuts,” a Nora Ephron Comedy about the staff of a suicide prevention hotline on Christmas Eve. The movie stars Steve Martin. Join us in the meeting hall next to the library on Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. Masks are required, and will be provided if you need one. Snacks and fun for everyone are free.
■The Webster Town Clerk has a new telephone number. Please update your contact information to either the direct line of (603) 648-2053 or (603) 648-2272 to reach the town offices, and press 1 for the town clerk. The Town Clerk’s office will be closed on Dec. 31.
■The filing period for town elections is set for Jan. 19 to 28. You may file with the Town Clerk during normal office hours. The positions on the ballot will be Moderator (2 years), Selectman (3 years), Supervisor of the Checklist (6 years), Treasurer (1 year), Trustee of Trust Funds (3 years), Cemetery Trustee (3 years), and Library Trustee (3 years).
