WEBSTER Winter parking ban in effect until April

■The Webster Town Clerk has a new telephone number. Please update your contact information to either the direct line of (603) 648-2053 or (603) 648-2272 to reach the town offices and press 1 for the town clerk. The Town Clerk’s office will be closed on Dec. 31.

■The Webster Conservation Commission has openings for several community volunteers. The Conservation Commission is made up of local volunteers who work to protect the natural resources in Webster. If you would like more information, go to webster-nh.gov/conservation-commission or contact the Chair Chris Schadler at nhcoyotes@gmail.com.

■Now that winter is here and snow will be flying soon, it’s good to review the Town of Webster’s Winter Maintenance Policy. Snow plowing will begin when there is two to three inches of snow. After the roads are clear, sanding and salting will begin. If there is a freezing rain storm, the highway department will not salt or sand until the rain stops. The Town of Webster does not have a clean road policy, which means that all roads and streets will not be kept completely clear of snow, and caution is advised for winter driving. Plow routes are approximately 15 miles long and take three to four hours to complete.

■The Webster Police Department reminds everyone that from Nov. 1 until April 1, there is a ban prohibiting vehicles from parking in the town right-of-way. Penalties include a fine and the car being towed.

■The Trustees of the Trust Funds will hold their last of four quarterly meetings on Dec. 27 at 10 a.m., in the Select Board’s Conference Room at the Webster Town Hall.

■Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and an early Happy New Year.
