The January 6th, 2021 insurrection by a mob incited by then President Trump to prevent the sacred American tradition of a peaceful transition of power was unprecedented in U.S. history short of the Civil War. The recent revelation by the U.S. House of Representatives’ investigation into this travesty has revealed that Fox News top tier personalities deliberately deceived their viewers by privately pleading with Trump to call off his supporters while publicly claiming that Antifa members were the ones behind the violence.
This treachery follows years of deliberately deceiving a significant portion of the public and the primary reason the country is polarized to the breaking point today. So why do many of us support this corrupt “entertainment” network masquerading as a news source? The answer is that we are unknowingly paying $2 per month of our basic cable TV bill for access, or roughly 10% of the TV portion of that bill. It amounts to enough revenue that Fox could stop advertising all together and still be profitable. Fortunately, Fox is renegotiating its contract with cable companies this year.
